S4C, the World March for Peace in Rome…and some random thoughts

Another post in english to report on the events of the World March for Peace in Rome.

It has been a very busy day yesterday. S4C could not attend all the institutional events due to the lack of a scarce resource: time. But passion and commitment did not lack and S4C was up to the task.

Here are two galleries. One is mine and the other is Massimo Maioletti’s who made in time to be present at a flash mob event…

Ma non sarà troppo tardi?

later we’ll add a gallery of a new S4C friend, Gioia Onorati.

And now some thoughts about the lates events of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence.

First: We, at S4C, are not activits nor take a side. We are reporters, journalists, photographers, photo enthusiasts. We give our eyes and lens to those who cannot afford to have their voices heard or their colors seen. Neutrally. Impartially. Professionally.

But…

But this time it was difficult not to feel empathy with those people. Those who got soaked up under the rain to sing the peace. Those who brought their kids in many italian square to talk about peace. Those who took days off their bad paid jobs just to…be present.

It was difficult not to take a side.

S4C did its best to be neutral but this time we failed :-) So…

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE and….SHOOT FOR CHANGE!
