[S4C on the road] In the Land of the Landless #5: homebound/ verso casa

[Gaia Squarci, on the road in the Brasilian State of Maranhao is back home since only a few hours. She just sent us the last email and a couple last photos. She’ll write more soon about her trip but now it’s time to rest and to have all the things she saw and the memories of people she met, settle down and find their places. Gaia Squarci ci scrive l’ultima email (arrivata poche ore fa). Ultime due foto del suo viaggio on the road nello Stato brasiliano del Maranhao in occasione del workshop fotografico di Giulio Di Meo (in collaborazione con ARCS).

Il suo messaggio termina così (e credo non occorrano altri commenti):

“Ora mancano le parole, ci vorrà un po’ a capire quanto è rimasto, magari anche cosa sarà rimasto a loro della nostra venuta.
L’importante per me è non cercare di mettere tutto in un posto preciso; persone, sguardi,sensazioni. In tal caso significa considerare un viaggio, quelle persone, qualcosa di concluso, mentre il fine ultimo è proprio creare un ponte, legami, scambi, perchè nel mondo sembra tutto un po’più vicino, quando si ha voglia di capire. Gaia”
