Zolla dopo Zolla cambieranno il Mondo!

Guerrilla Gardening: attivisti del verde che utilizzano come armi pali, badili e terriccio e che portano avanti un’idea che nasce sulla base del concetto di Critical Gardening, originatosi a New York nella seconda meta degli anni ’70 attorno alla figura di Liz Christy.

Un movimento che agisce principalmente contro il degrado urbano restituendo, nel tempo libero un pò di verde alle città in cui ha prevalso l’incuria.

I pacifici guerriglieri che appartengono a questa corrente di pensiero ed azione detta sono uomini e donne di ogni età e stato sociale. Una pratica che si sta diffondendo rapidamente anche in Italia e che si pone l’obiettivo di trasformare piccoli fazzoletti di terra lasciati a se stessi in rigogliosi piccoli giardini. Una guerra al degrado dove le bombe sono fatte solo di semi e terra.

I Giardinieri Guerriglieri in Italia sono tantissimi e continuano a nascere gruppi in tutte le regioni, città e quartieri; ogni gruppo ha combattuto diverse battaglie, cercando di riconquistare spazi di verde in città.

Ovunque si sente parlare di nuovi giardini condivisi, di aiuole profumate, di orti urbani e di fantasiose lotte al degrado. La rivolta del verde sta dilagando con radici sempre più fitte e forti.

In questi giorni si sta svolgendo il primo intervento sincronizzato in tutta Italia di Guerrilla Gardening: si uniscono zappe, fiori, pollici (verdi e non), per combattere un’unica Guerra al Degrado. Il progetto è di lanciare un’enorme bomba di semi per sconfiggere il nemico agendo tutti insieme e simultaneamente dalle diverse città.

S4C, con Giulia Leporatti ed Angela Vicino ha seguito due interventi che si sono svolti sabato 5 novembre a Roma: il primo presso gli Orti Urbani della Garbatella, da parte di un’associazione di famiglie ed il secondo presso l’Accampata degli Indignati in piazza Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, dove diverse associazioni hanno costruito un orto errante.

Green activists who use  poles, shovels and dirt like weapons and carry on an idea that was born with the concept of Critical Gardening, originated in New York in the second half of the 70s around the figure of Liz Christy.

A movement that acts primarily against urban decay, and returning, in his spare time a bit of green to the city where the carelessness has prevailed.

The peaceful guerrillas belonging to this school of thought and action that are men and womenof all ages and social status.

A practice that is spreading rapidly in Italy and which aims to transform small pieces of land left to their own small gardens into lush.

A war to degradation where the bombs are made only of seeds and soil.
There are many large Groups of Guerrilla Gardeners in Italy and they continue to rise in all regions, cities and districts; each group has fought several battles, trying to regain green spaces in the city.

Everywhere there is talk of new shared gardens, fragrant flower beds, vegetable gardens and imaginative urbanstruggles to degradation. The revolt of the green is spreadingwith more and more dense and strong roots.

These days the first syncro Guerrilla Gardening is taking place throughout Italy:  hoes, flowers, green inches (green and otherwise), join forces to fight the War to degradation.

The project is to launch a huge bomb seeds to defeat the enemy by acting together and simultaneously in different cities.

S4C witnessed the events in Rome with Angela Vicino and Giulia Leporatti on  Saturday, November 5t.
