Italian Free Lance photographer, Fabio Polenghi has been confirmed dead in Bangkok, shot by the thai Army during the latest, and ongoing, events.
We are all shocked.
Fabio Polenghi loved photography and it became his work for the past 29 years, spent on the field.
He went to Thailand to tell the story up close from within. He was a pro…
We’ll have time to mourn and to remember him with his works but now let me send a message for those who are there to shoot photoreportage and tell stories of what is going on:
DO NOT TAKE RISKS! DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS NECESSARY!
Photoreportage is not a game. They’re killing photographers and journalists there. And Fabio, who was a pro, died to pursuit his mission to report a story, to have us being fully aware of what is going on.
BUT IF YOU’RE NOT A PROFESSIONAL, DO NOT GO THERE AND DO NOT TAKE RISKS!
