All at once. Jack Johnson in Rome

Hi all,

a musical break from once in a while around here. And – surprise, surprise – it has a purpose!

I had the lucky chance to enjoy one of my favourite songwriters, Jack Johnson, in his Rome leg of his European Tour 2011.

What makes him an extraordinary person is his strong committment to social engagement through his no profit undertaking “All at once” , Jack Johnson’s social action network where you can make a positive change in your local and world community: connect with non-profit groups, take environmental action, and receive rewards.

The 2010 All At Once campaign features over over 220 non-profits and focuses on supporting Sustainable Local Food Systems and Plastic Free Initiatives.

We, at S4C, particularly appreciate its motto: “An individual action, multiplied by millions, creates global change“. Doesn’t it ring a bell? Yes, it does. And that is what unite all of us….

Environmental committment is the red (oops, green) line that connects all his undertakings. All his gigs are strongly green oriented as is his hawaian no profit organisation.

And, by the way, he even donated 100% profit oh his 2008 tour to Johnson Ohana Charity!

Well, quite a person he his and I wanted to tell you about it.

Keep it up Jack!

 Antonio

PS Some time ago Jack sang: “Where are the good people gone?”. We have answers now :-)
