S(port)4Change: RUN CONGO, RUN!

There’s no better way for introducing a new S4C photographer than showing his passion for social reportage.

Antonio Marcello (with the great support of Daniela Conti with all texts) is daily involved in NGOs dealing with sport for social change. He is also a passionate photographer and always bring his camera during his NGOs works around the World.

Today he tells us a “local” story in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It’s about sport as a mean of social revenge and as a vehicule of Peace message.

Vivicittà (as hereby depicted in Kishasa) is one of World most famous city races. It runs simultaneously (same day, every year) in 40 cities in Italy and 20 worldwide.

Running for Peace, Environment, Social Change, Integration…..

Run, Congo, Run! Run for Change!

Non c’è modo migliore di presentare un nuovo amico e fotografo di S4C che lasciarsi sorprendere dalla sua passione. Non è un vero e proprio fotografo professionista, Antonio Marcello.

Si occupa, per la UISP, di iniziative sportive per finalità sociali. E gira spesso il mondo, portandosi sempre la sua macchina fotografica. Un vero amatore, nel senso più bello del termine.

Quello che segue è un breve reportage (con testi di Daniela Conti) del primo Vivicittà tenuto a Kinshasa, Congo, in collaborazione con la ONG locale LISPED.

Una corsa, Vivicittà, che ogni anno – attraversando 40 città italiane e 20 in tutto il mondo – veicola messaggi pacifici, per l’ambiente, per il cambiamento sociale. Tutte parole in sintonia ed in linea con la missione di S4C e dei suoi fotografi.
