A S4C charity calendar in Barcelona: humor and laughters in Hospital
Shoot 4 Change document the work of the NGO Pallapupas in Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell to edit a charity photo calendar

A team of photographers from Shoot 4 Change NGO reported a few months ago the work of the NGO Pallapupas, an organization of social performing arts that contributes to the humanization of hospital processes through humor and laughter.
The aim of the photographic project is to edit a charity calendar for 2016 including the photos showing the work of Pallapupas in hospitals.
During the 8th, 9th and 10th of September, Shoot 4 Change team went with Pallapupas actors to their performances at different health areas of the Parc Tauli Hospital in Sabadell: they took photographs during a visit of a child in the pediatric floor, also during the Blood draws and finally during a magnetic resonance imaging.
In each case, “the seriousness of the white coats” disappeared to become laughter and smiles.
Photographers from Shoot 4 Change also reported the preparation process of a child before entering the operating room, a pioneering service in Catalunya started by Pallapupas which the NGO is also offering in other Catalan hospitals. In fact, in Parc Tauli Hospital, health staff have claimed this service for a long time.
Editing a charity calendar has two main objectives, getting funding for the performing arts NGO and also expanding to a second day a week the work of Pallapupas in Parc Taulí Hospital.
Shoot 4 Change, as in other campaigns, donates its time and work for the cause of an NGO, in this case for Pallapupas.
This Christmas the calendar is available on the charity online shop of Pallapupas (the website is www.pallapupas.org) and also in El Corte Inglés and Parc Tauli hospital in Sabadell.
What does NGO Pallapupas do?
Pallapupas is a non-profit care association, composed by professional actors and actresses. It works to breathe life into people who need it, through humor and social performing arts. The organization works with hospitalized children and their families, with old people and people with mental illnesses (hospitalized or not) to increase their physical and emotional aspect. In hospitals,
Pallapupas contributes to the humanization of the hospital processes and also to empower the hospitalized people (as subjects) beyond their diseases.

Shoot 4 Change fotografía el trabajo de la ONG Pallapupas en el hospital Parc Taulí de Sabadell para editar un calendario solidario
Un equipo de fotógrafos de la ONG Shoot 4 Change recogió hace unos meses el testimonio gráfico del trabajo de la ONG Pallapupas, una entidad que contribuye a la humanización de los procesos hospitalarios a través del humor y la risa. El objetivo del trabajo es editar un calendario solidario 2016 con las fotografías que evidencian la labor de Pallapupas en los hospitales.
Durante los días 8, 9 y 10 de setiembre, Shoot 4 Change acompañó a los actores de Pallapupas a diferentes ámbitos sanitarios del hospital Parc Taulí de Sabadell: en una visita de un niño en una planta pediátrica, en las extracciones de sangre y en una resonancia, lugares donde la seriedad de las batas blancas desapareció para convertirse en risas y sonrisas.
Los fotógrafos de Shot 4 Change también asistieron a la sesión de preparación de un niño para entrar a quirófano, un servicio que Pallapupas empezó a hacer de forma pionera en Catalunya. De hecho, lo hace en otros hospitales catalanes y, en el hospital Parc Taulí, el personal hace tiempo que lo reclama.
La edición de un calendario responde a dos objetivos, recaptar fondos y ampliar un segundo día a la semana la tarea de Pallapupas en el hospital. Shoot 4 Change, como en otras campañas, aporta su trabajo para la causa de una ONG, en este caso Pallapupas.
El calendario se podrá encontrar en la tienda solidaria que Pallapupas tiene en su web (www.pallapupas.org) y para Navidad en otros puntos directos de compra como El Corte Inglés o en el propio hospital Parc Taulí de Sabadell.
Cuál es la labor de la ONG Pallapupas?
Pallapupas és una asociación de carácter assistencial y sin ánimo de lucro, formada por actores y actrices profesionales, que trabaja para llenar de vida las personas que lo necesiten, a través del humor y las artes escénicas. La entidad trabaja con niños y niñas hospitalizados y sus familias, con gente mayor y personas con enfermedades mentales (ingresadas y no ingresadas) para mejorar su aspecto físico y emocional. En los hospitales, contribuyen a la humanización de los procesos hospitalarios y también al mantenimiento del sujeto (de la persona) por encima de la enfermedad.
