100 Click 4 Change: la mostra!

Ci siamo! Quasi…

100 click 4 Change è la prima mostra collettiva di S4C, una selezione di alcune delle tantissime storie che abbiamo raccontato nei primi due anni di vita. Non potevamo esporle tutte, e scegliere è stato difficile.

Abbiamo deciso (e ringraziamo pianoBI, Associazione che sta curando la mostra, e Lorenza Dadduzio/Metrofili per il visual design), quindi, di presentare alcune immagini rappresentative del tipo di storie che ci piace raccontare, e cui abbiamo dato voce. La mostra e il catalogo, quindi, rappresentano un primo momento di introduzione del network e della nostra concezione di fotografia sociale. A questo ne seguiranno altri, per dar voce e spazio a tutti i mosti fotografi. Il primo passo di un lungo cammino.

Abbiamo creato una pagina ad hoc dedicata alla Mostra (cliccate qui) dove troverete tutte le informazioni logistiche (luogo, orari, calendario degli eventi collaterali) e quelle relative agli sponsor (senza i quali non riusciremmo a realizzarla) ed alle ONG che ci hanno dato il patrocinio, insieme alla Provincia di Roma. Aggiorneremo la pagina, di volta in volta, con notizie sugli eventi e sui futuri spostamenti della Mostra.

Un’occasione del genere non può che essere  anche un momento di riflessione su cosa è successo, come si è sviluppato il network (alcuni parlano già di “movimento”) e su quali siano le motivazioni del successo che sino ad oggi ha caratterizzato questa avventura.

Lo faremo, insieme, il giorno dell’inaugurazione della mostra (segnatelo in agenda: il 16 settembre alle 18:00, a Roma, a Palazzo Valentini).

Non sarà un evento unico. La Mostra sarà itinerante e, ad ogni tappa, si aggiornerà con nuove storie, nuovi autori (siamo in tanti e, piano piano, cerchermo di dare spazio a tutti), nuovi eventi collaterali.

Questa mostra, queste foto, queste storie sono dedicate a tutti gli straordinari volontari di S4C in giro per il mondo. Ed alla loro voglia di cambiarlo.

We are almost there….

100 click 4 Change is S4C’s first large collective photo exhibition: a selection of some of the stories we have told in our first 2 years of Life. We cannot hang them all and choosing was hard.

Therefore we opted (thanks to pianoBI, the Association that is curating the event and Lorenza Dadduzio/Metròfili for the visual design) for a showcase of those typical stories we like to tell and discover. Those we gave a voice to. The Exhibition, the catalougue, will present S4C model and our vision of Social Photography.

It will be the first of a serie of steps in order to give room to all our Photographers and members. A long way to go!

If you want to know more about the event we have set up an ad hoc page (click here to visit it). We’ll update it frequently with the Agenda and Schedule of the side events and other relevant information.

The Opening Day (September 16th in Rome) will also be a good chance to get to know eachother and discuss the reasons for the success of S4C. Will you be there?

Again, if you cannot, remember that we’ll move the Exhibition around Italy, Europe and – hopefully – the USA soon.
